Jiangsu Science and Technology Department , this two-year project will bring about transformative video analytics
capabilities to commercial intelligent video systems in large-scale smart urban environments using distributed cameras
and multi-sensors. This enhances both a "digitally-enabled city" with smart infrastructure and connected digital information
processing and a more "resilient city", benefiting the quality of urban services including transport and citizens’ security.
The UK partners (VSL/QMUL) are developing world-class intelligent video analytics with patented commercial software
systems already deployed by actual end-users from law enforcement agencies in the UK, the US and Australia. Their Chinese
partner in Jiangsu (Sanleng) is a market leader in providing networked video camera systems for public safety and smart
city transport management in the Chinese market.
